June 26, 2001:
TOKYOPOP will be releasing some new Anime and Manga. Click here to see there press release. TOKYOPOP says that they will start releasing two Anime series, "St. Tail" and "Vampire Princess Miyu", in August. They also stated that they will be releasing English versions of the "Marmalade Boy" manga and the "Kodomo no Omocha" ("Kodocha") manga. However, their description of Marmalade Boy was more than a little off. (If you know the story, then it's good for a laugh.) Incase they change their summary of it here is a copy:

Marmalade Boy is the definition of dysfunctional. Miki's parents have decided to swap marriages with another couple much to her horror. But when she sees her gorgeous new step-brother Arimi, she kind of warms to the idea-until she discovers he's best friends with a boy she used to have a crush on, and now has a crush on her! Arimi is stuck in a triangle of the worst kind, as the two guys she likes are now best friends with each other. Wataru Yoshizumi is the mangaka behind Marmalade Boy. With several other titles to her credit in Japan this is the first to receive distribution in the US. -- TOKYOPOP 6/26/01 5:23 PM

For those of you not familiar with the story here's a more accurate description: Miki, the main character of Marmalade Boy, learns that her parents are getting divorce. After, both of them will be getting re-married. Yuu (not Arimi) also learns that his parents will be getting a divorce. Miki's mother will be marring Yuu's father, and Miki's father will be marring Yuu's mother. Miki and her parents, and Yuu and his parents will all be living in the same house. Although at first against the idea, Miki soon learns to like it as she becomes close to Yuu and his parents. Arimi is actually a girl in the series, who was one of Yuu's old girlfriends. The love triangle they are talking about involves Ginta (one of Miki's friends), Miki, and Yuu.
